The Natural Decay of Structure

The world is comprised of elements all with their differing values and characteristics and ways of interacting with each other. Some of these are long enduring and others more transient. Through various forces these elements and the structures they combined to create lose their constancy, changing our perspective of what they constituted and develop a new way of being.

I explore this undeniable process and the aesthetics of decay through our lived environment in various forms, some structures all too familiar others being lost to time. Finding interest and beauty in disorder and challenging how our choices of design in practical applications ultimately affect how long these structures endure.

Through the medium of monochrome Film photography, I establish and capture a moment using natural light and perspective to evidence entropy in action.
